Zurab Japaridze, one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change, on Monday claimed public engagement and awareness surrounding the opposition’s planned 26 May rally were increasing steadily.

Speaking to journalists, Japaridze said the campaign launched ahead of the demonstration had been receiving increasingly positive responses from citizens each day.

“Many angry citizens are coming, many people are filling out questionnaires. Overall, it is quite a positive process,” he said.

Japaridze added more people were now informed about the planned protest, including details about the route and timing of the event.

He said the rally is scheduled to begin at 19:00 local time near Tbilisi State University before continuing towards the parliament building on Rustaveli Avenue.
