Georgia's national football team has made history by defeating Portugal in Euro 2024, securing a place in the play-offs.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia set the tone early by scoring in the second minute, giving Georgia an early lead. 

Following the goal, Georgia strategically conceded possession to Portugal, who struggled to create effective chances against a resolute Georgian defense. 

Despite Portugal's efforts, the Georgian defense held strong, preventing any significant threats to their goal. 

After halftime, Georgia extended their lead with Giorgi  Mikautadze successfully converting a penalty in the 57th minute, making it 2-0. Portugal was unable to mount a comeback, resulting in a 2-0 victory for Georgia.
