US President Joe Biden announced that the United States is prepared to enter into talks with Russia, China, and North Korea to address the issue of reducing nuclear threats. He stressed the discussions would proceed without any preconditions, underscoring the need for dialogue in the face of global nuclear risks.
“The United States is ready to engage in negotiations with Russia, China, and North Korea on the issue of reducing the nuclear threat without preconditions,” Biden said. He highlighted that efforts to block progress on nuclear arsenal reduction would be detrimental not only to the involved nations but to global stability.
“Reducing the nuclear threat is important not in spite of the threats in today’s world, but because of them,” he added, warning that current nuclear risks were undermining the norms and agreements established over the years.
