Georgian Dream’s campaign head and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze expressed confidence in the ruling party’s significant lead and anticipated a decisive win, based on preliminary results shared at a press briefing at the party’s headquarters. Kobakhidze, however, emphasized that the party’s ambition extends beyond a clear victory: they aim for a constitutional majority.
“We encourage all eligible voters to mobilize in these last two hours. About 200,000 voters are yet to participate, and every vote counts,” Kobakhidze stated.
He added that this election is pivotal for the country’s future. “On one side of the scale lies the dark past of the country, while on the other side lies its bright, European future,” he stressed.
Kobakhidze expressed gratitude to those who had already voted, noting the significance of this turnout as a testament to voter commitment during a critical election.
