Police arrive at home of social media platform Daitove co-founder amid protests

Georgian police arrived at the apartment of Ilia Glonti, an activist and one of the co-founders of the social platform Daitove, on Wednesday.

The platform, created earlier this year, has been a key voice in opposition to the government’s controversial foreign transparency law.

Glonti and the platform are currently advocating for a re-run of the country’s elections, following the government’s decision last week to delay Georgia’s European integration process until 2028.

Glonti shared the news on social media, though the reason for the law enforcement presence at his apartment remains unclear at this time.
