Former President of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili, declared his dissatisfaction with the current government after casting his vote in the parliamentary elections. He expressed that today marked a collective movement of the Georgian people against the ruling authorities, stating, “I have issued a ‘PlasKart’ ticket for this government, as their rightful place is in the Russian Federation.”
Margvelashvili highlighted the visible turnout at polling stations, interpreting it as a clear signal of change.
“Look at the lines; this indicates that the government is changing. Today, together with the Georgian people, I have issued a ‘PlasKart’ ticket for this government. Their place is in the Russian Federation,” he remarked.
He emphasized that the high voter turnout and enthusiasm among citizens point to an impending shift in power, suggesting that the opposition’s ability to mobilize its base reflects the growing discontent with the ruling party.
“When the opposition can bring out its voters in such numbers, it means that the stability the government claims is being challenged,” he stated.
Georgia conducts its parliamentary elections. The total number of eligible voters stands at 3,508,294.
