Chairman of Government of Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia honors veterans at commemorative event

Levan Mgaloblishvili, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, participated in a solemn event dedicated to Veterans Day on Thursday, celebrating the “invaluable contributions” of Georgia’s veterans. The event featured addresses from key officials, including Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Minister of Defense Irakli Chikovani, and Head of the State Department of Veterans Koba Kobaladze.

Attendees honored the memory of those who sacrificed their lives for Georgia’s territorial integrity with a moment of silence. Mgaloblishvili expressed his gratitude, stating, “Today we met worthy veterans, we congratulated them on their 10th anniversary. Their contribution to our country is priceless, and I would like to take this opportunity once again to congratulate them today and wish them health.”

The event, organized by the State Service of Veterans Affairs, also featured representatives from Georgia’s executive and legislative authorities, along with members of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country, underscoring the collective respect and appreciation for the nation’s heroes.
