Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze presided over the opening ceremony of the new football center named after famous Georgian football veteran and now Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze in Samtredia. The center aims to offer children a place to develop athletically and pursue their sporting dreams.
Addressing attendees, Kobakhidze emphasized the significance of the infrastructure for local youth, saying it provides “a crucial environment for our talented children to grow, improve, and achieve great results in sports.”
He congratulated the people of Samtredia, highlighting that Kaladze, Georgia’s most successful and decorated footballer, serves as an inspiring figure for young athletes. He also expressed his gratitude to the Georgian Football Federation, FIFA, UEFA, and all partners involved in the project.
“The opening of this center marks an important step for the future of Georgian sports. I am confident that many champions will emerge from this very field,” said Kobakhidze.
This state-of-the-art facility is set to uphold Kaladze’s legacy while fostering a new generation of athletes.
