In response to a journalist’s question about whether she would consider meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss resolving the conflict in Ukraine, US Vice President Kamala Harris firmly rejected the idea.
“Not without Ukraine. Ukraine must have the right to determine its own future,” Harris said.
Harris emphasized the United States’ continued support for Ukraine, particularly in defending itself against Russian aggression.
She also criticized former President Donald Trump’s stance on the issue, saying, “If Donald Trump were president, Putin would be sitting in Kyiv right now. He claims he could end the war in a day. Do you know what that means? It means capitulation.”
