Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has declared October 26 parliamentary elections in Georgia “completely rigged and stolen” in a post on social media.
Saakashvili, who remains a prominent opposition figure, emphasized the need for the Georgian people to free themselves from the current government.
“The elections in Georgia are completely rigged and stolen. We must reclaim our country from this treacherous government,” Saakashvili wrote.
His statement comes amid widespread debate over the election’s integrity, with opposition parties and international observers raising concerns about the fairness and transparency of the process.
